The one-line read. Burly's mesh is in genuinely good shape — 226 of 234 radios online, median link quality 99, 216 of 222 battery radios at full charge. There is no connectivity problem here. What there is is a mapping problem: 52 online radios carrying 52 live substrate probes are not assigned to any room, and one Climate One in Veg West has been down for six days. Both matter more than usual right now, because AUTOMAIT cannot steer a room whose climate it cannot see, and cannot use a probe it cannot find.

Radio fleet vs sensor fleet — counted separately

These are two different fleets and they fail in different ways. Radios are the Wirepas mesh — they have battery, RSSI, link quality and travel time. Sensors are the probes bolted to them — substrate, climate, PAR. A radio can be perfectly healthy while the probe on it has been silent for a year. Summing them into one "device count" hides exactly that.

Why the split matters at Burly. The Veg West outage is a sensor failure riding on a radio failure — the H421 Climate One radio itself went offline, taking its EE894 probe with it. But the MOM / PROP PAR sensor is the opposite case: its host radio (H3310006800) is online at 100% battery and link quality 99, while the SQ-521 probe bolted to it has been in deep sleep since 2025-06-09. A single blended "device health: 97%" number would have shown neither.

The 52-radio mapping gap. Fifty-seven radios carry no room assignment in AROYA. Fifty-two of them are online right now, at 100% battery, link quality 97–100, reporting on schedule — and every one of them is named after a cultivar (Z Marker, El Stupo, Anaphylaxis #1, BOB #640 …). These are almost certainly the R/D mother-stock probes: 52 live TEROS substrate probes whose readings cannot appear in any room chart, cannot fire an alert, and cannot be seen by AUTOMAIT, because AROYA does not know what room they are in. That is roughly 52 probes' worth of hardware producing data that lands nowhere. Assigning them to R/D Flower Room (or to their own R/D zones) is a 20-minute job in the AROYA app and it is the highest-leverage device action on this list.

Triage. Only one of these eight is a live operational problem: H4210001606, the Climate One in Veg West, which stopped at 2026-07-06 23:35 and has been down 6 days. That is the exact blackout the cultivation audit reports — no air temp, RH, VPD or CO₂ for Veg West since 07-06. Fix this one first.

The other seven are dead inventory, not outages: two Climate Ones in Product Vault silent for 527 and 598 days, one unassigned Climate One silent 506 days, two unassigned nodes silent 520 days, one node ("light sensor") silent 805 days, and one node at 0% battery silent 132 days. None of them is in a live grow room. They should be retired in the AROYA app so they stop polluting the fleet count — or recovered and redeployed if the hardware is good.

The one that is not obvious. The SQ-521 PAR sensor in MOM / PROP has been in deep sleep since 2025-06-09 — 398 days — while its host radio reports perfect health. MOM / PROP is consequently the one grow room in the facility with no PPFD or DLI data at all, which is why the cultivation audit had to infer its photoperiod from the air-temp profile (13 h) rather than measure it. If you want AUTOMAIT to manage the mother room, it needs light data.

Where the data gaps in the cultivation audit come from

Gap seen in the 14-day auditDevice explanationAction
Veg West: no climate 07-06 → 07-13 Climate One H4210001606 went offline 2026-07-06 23:35. Its EE894 probe went with it. P0 Power-cycle / re-provision. It is PoE — check the switch port first.
Veg West: CO₂ reading 0–101 ppm before it died Same EE894 probe. A CO₂ channel reading near zero in an occupied sealed room is a failed sensor, not a low room. P0 Replace the probe when the radio comes back.
MOM / PROP: CO₂ railed at 5000 ppm for 8 days EE894 in MOM / PROP is online and not flagged by AROYA — the value is inside the sensor's valid range, so nothing alarms. 5000 ppm is the top of the channel. This is either a saturated/failed probe or a genuine reading. P0 Verify with a handheld meter today. 5000 ppm is the OSHA 8-hour exposure limit — do not resolve this from telemetry.
MOM / PROP: no PPFD / DLI SQ-521 PAR sensor in deep sleep since 2025-06-09. P1 Wake or replace. Photoperiod is currently inferred, not measured.
Room 12405 "Flower West A1-A4" returns zero series No radios and no sensors are assigned to it. It is an empty shell shadowing the live "Flower Westt A1-A4" (16868) by one letter. P1 Archive it before AUTOMAIT is configured — a recipe on the ghost fails silently.
R/D substrate zone spread of 14.4 pp R/D Flower Room has only 9 radios mapped to it, while 52 cultivar-named probes sit unassigned. The room's charts are built from a fraction of its actual instrumentation. P1 Assign the 52 unassigned probes.

Firmware

Status. The gateway (H2100005033) reports ggVersion 2 — it is on WP5. The node, repeater and H421 fleets do not expose a ggVersion in the SPA payload, so this report does not assert their firmware state; that requires the dedicated firmware-upgrade audit, and we will not guess.

For when the WP4 → WP5 update is scheduled. The update is pushed over the air by the gateway to every device that is online at the scheduled time. The go/no-go per device is: online · battery ≥ 30% · signal ≥ 50%. On today's numbers Burly is in excellent shape for that — 226 of 234 radios online, 216 of 222 battery radios at 100%, and not one radio below link quality 80. Devices that are offline at the scheduled time are not harmed — they simply stay on WP4, and they can be brought up later by reverting a gateway to WP4 and re-running the push. There is no time limit on that and no risk to the hardware. The only real action is to bring the Veg West Climate One back online before the scheduled push so it comes along with the rest of the fleet, and to retire the seven long-dead units so they are not counted against the roll-out.

Per-device battery / RSSI historyNOT PULLED Time-series battery and RSSI trends per device come from public_api/devices/<id>/chart/, which is rate-limited to 2 concurrent workers. With 234 radios that sweep was out of budget for this pre-meeting run. Everything above is a point-in-time snapshot, not a trend. A radio that is flapping would show as "online" here. Say so rather than imply a stability claim we did not measure.
Serial numbersMASKED Only H-prefix radio serials are shown. Sensor-head serials are withheld from the external report.
Room assignment57 UNASSIGNED 57 radios (52 of them online) carry no room in AROYA. They are grouped as "unassigned" above rather than guessed into a room.
Firmware versionPARTIAL Only the gateway exposes ggVersion (=2, WP5). No firmware claim is made about the node / repeater / H421 fleets.
