The Lead — what 14 days tell us, 12 days after the last auditLa Lectura — qué dicen 14 días, 12 días después del último informe

11-room facility, 14-day audit (May 5 – May 19, 2026). GreenMed runs a coco-coir bag flower deck with 7 active flower harvest groups across Indoor 1–6 + GH2 (GH1 fallow, sensor fleet failing). 3 rooms in Stack (Indoor 4, 5, 6), 3 in Bulk (Indoor 2, 3, GH2), 1 in Finish (Indoor 1). The 5/07 audit asked for: (a) climate sensors in GH2, (b) RH/VPD fix in Indoor 1 BSR1, (c) EC re-balance across 5 rooms, (d) Indoor 6 CO₂ cap. 14 days later: (a) GH2 zone 71281 now has climate but two zones still blind; (b) Indoor 1 RH still 73% / VPD 0.72 (unchanged); (c) EC partially recovered — 3 of 5 outlier rooms back in band, Indoor 1 still high, Indoor 5 PL3 still under-fed; (d) Indoor 6 still pegged at 1785 ppm CO₂. The yield-binding issues are still climate-side, not substrate-side. 3 of 7 rooms hit dryback band, 4 of 7 sit inside phase pore_EC, 1 flower rooms have <20% climate coverage.11-room facility, 14-day audit (May 5 – May 19, 2026). Prior-Commitment Audit · what 5/07 asked for, what landedAuditoría de Compromisos Previos · qué pidió 5/07, qué se cumplió

Source register: GreenMed Facility Audit · 7 May 2026 (shipped 12 days ago). Five recommendations, ranked H/M/L impact. Status below is from this 14-day window 5/05 → 5/19.

◐ Rec #1 · Get climate sensors live in GH2 — PARTIAL

5/07 flagged GH2 (3,758 plants) as totally blind on climate. This window: zone 71281 (BI) is now reporting with 215 of 480 climate points (~45% coverage) — RH 66.4%, VPD 1.08, air 25°C / 77°F. Zones 74291 (TRG) and 81738 (SBZ) still have no climate sensor. CO₂ still reading 0 in all zones — no CO₂ sensor deployed at GH2. The largest HG at the facility just entered Bulk on 5/19; the climate fix is half-done and Bulk runs 21 days from today.

✗ Rec #2 · Reduce humidity in Indoor 1 (BSR1) — UNRESOLVED

5/07 logged BSR1 in Bulk day 16 at RH 77/80%, VPD 0.69 — botrytis exposure. This window: BSR1 is now in Finish day 7 (harvest 5/26 — 7 days out). RH 73.4% mean / 80.8% max. VPD 0.72 kPa mean / 0.45 min. Essentially unchanged from 5/07. Air temp 72.3°F mean, abs_hum 14.6 g/m³ — the dehumidifier hasn't bitten. With dense flower in the final week, this is the highest near-term operational risk at the facility, exactly as flagged 12 days ago.

◐ Rec #3 · Audit substrate EC across 5 outlier rooms — PARTIAL

5/07 flagged PL2 (8.0), RIF10 (8.1), TRG1 (7.3) above Bulk ceiling; PL3 (4.0), BSR1 (5.7) under-fed. This window's verdict:

  • Indoor 2 PL2 Bulk: EC 7.0 mS — resolved (was 8.0, now solidly inside 6.0–7.0 Bulk band)
  • Indoor 3 TRG1 Bulk: EC 6.87 mS — resolved (was 7.3, now inside band)
  • Indoor 1 BSR1 Finish: EC 8.01 mS — drifted higher (was 5.7 Bulk under-fed, now 8.0 Finish — needs flush before harvest)
  • Indoor 5 PL3 Stack: EC 3.56 mS — unresolved (was 4.0, now lower; PL3 still under-fed at Stack day 18)
  • Indoor 4 BLS1 Stack: EC 5.76 room mean but with 2.0 mS split between zones (71005=4.72, 71006=6.80) — likely emitter or sensor offset issue, new finding
✓ Rec #4 · Walk 7 silent h421 climate sensors — RESOLVED for most

5/07 flagged 7 flower rooms each missing one h421. This window: Indoor 1–5 climate combos report 480/480 points (100% coverage). GH1 still partial (35/480 points climate — sensor stack appears to have failed entirely, also substrate sensors reading nonsense; flagged as separate issue). GH2 still partial (215/480 points). Indoor 1–5 fleet repaired since 5/07.

✗ Rec #5 · Re-tune PL3 and PL2 irrigation — PL2 LANDED, PL3 UNRESOLVED

5/07: PL3 (Stack) needed deeper drybacks + delay first-shot; PL2 (Bulk) needed bigger discrete shots. This window: PL2 now in Bulk day 16, EC inside band (7.0), VPD 1.34 (in band), VWC range 40–62% — Bulk dynamics restored. ✓. PL3 day 18 of Stack: EC 3.56 mS (worse than 5/07's 3.96), dryback proxy 14.8% (was 10%), VWC range 45.9–53.9% (very flat — peak 53.9 is below 5/07's 41 peak, but the floor only drops 8 pts overnight). PL3 has been under-fed and over-watered for 18 straight days; flip to Bulk in 4 days. No recovery happened.

⚠ NEW · GH1 sensor fleet has failed since 5/07

GH1 is fallow this window (no active HG). All 4 sensor channels reading garbage: substrate VWC 0.79% (sensor disconnected), pore_EC 16+ mS room mean (stuck at out-of-range), climate sensors 35/480 points (silent). Either the room was deliberately taken offline for re-provisioning or the entire sensor stack failed. Confirm intent before next planting — running an HG here today would be flying blind.

HVAC Capacity & Climate Load · Are the rooms able to hit their targets?Capacidad HVAC y carga climática

⚠ Climate plant is the binding constraint in 3 of 7 rooms — same pattern as 5/07

Indoor 1 (Finish) carries the worst RH/VPD inversion at the facility — RH 73% mean (max 81%), VPD 0.72 (min 0.45). Indoor 6 swings 3.0°F across the day with CO₂ pegged at 2000 ppm. Indoor 5 swings 8.4°F (the biggest air-temp range at GreenMed) and has the deepest VPD distribution — 0.76 to 1.51. The 5/07 hot-room walk shows up as room-by-room variation, not a facility-wide ceiling: Indoor 2 sits cleanly inside Bulk targets (VPD 1.34, RH 56.7%), so the HVAC plant is sized — it's the per-room recipes and setpoint enforcement that wobble.

Signals below evaluate whether the climate plant has the headroom for each room's phase recipe. VPD stress hrs/day is a normal-tail proxy from the 14-day mean & std around an 0.8–1.6 kPa generic comfort band. Air swing > 8 °F suggests the room cannot hold its setpoint.

Five climate-side mechanisms each scored against this 14-day window's hourly time series, then mapped to the irrigation/steering outcome they drive. The table answers "is the climate plant the binding constraint, the slab, or neither?" per room. All numbers below are derived from hourly soil_moist / pore_ec / vpd / air_temp / soil_temp aggregates pulled directly from the AROYA chart endpoint (no rollups, no aggregates re-binning). Rows with insufficient data are omitted rather than placeholdered.Cinco mecanismos climáticos calificados contra la serie horaria de 14 días, mapeados al resultado de riego / manejo. Room · Phase Mechanism Observed (14d) Verdict Impact on irrigation / steering
Indoor 1 · Finish VPD ceiling stress
hrs/d lights-on above phase upper VPD
0h/d · target ≤ 1.5 kPa in band VPD holds inside phase band (0h/d above 1.5 kPa) — climate-side is not the steering blocker.
Indoor 1 · Finish Negative DIF
days where lights-on mean < lights-off mean
1/14 days · mean Δ 0.89°C positive DIF stays positive 13/14 days (mean 0.89°C). Photosynthate moves the right direction.
Indoor 1 · Finish Diurnal swing > 4.4°C
days where max − min air temp > 8°F
0/14 days · mean swing 3.36°C tight Daily swing stays ≤4.4°C (0/14 days exceeded, mean 3.36°C). HVAC sized correctly for the load.
Indoor 1 · Finish Air ↔ soil thermal coupling
Pearson r over lights-on hourly mean
r = 0.90 tight Air ↔ soil-temp r = 0.90. HVAC drives the substrate — recipe changes land on root-zone fast. Setpoint moves matter more than slab mass.
Indoor 1 · Finish EC stacking trajectory
slope of hourly pore_ec over the 14d window
+0.24 mS/day · 5.7 → 8.24 stacking Pore_EC trending +0.24 mS/day (5.7→8.24). On-strategy stacking through the window — phase wants 6.0–7.5 mS.
Indoor 2 · Bulk VPD ceiling stress
hrs/d lights-on above phase upper VPD
8.64h/d · target ≤ 1.2 kPa binding Plant transpires at ceiling for 8.64h/day on average — Bulk recipe wants ≤1h/d. Dryback flattens because demand-side stops responding to shot timing.
Indoor 2 · Bulk Negative DIF
days where lights-on mean < lights-off mean
9/14 days · mean Δ -0.18°C split DIF flips negative on 9/14 days (mean -0.18°C). Either HVAC overcooling lights-on or undercooling lights-off — pick a side.
Indoor 2 · Bulk Diurnal swing > 4.4°C
days where max − min air temp > 8°F
1/14 days · mean swing 2.01°C tight Daily swing stays ≤4.4°C (1/14 days exceeded, mean 2.01°C). HVAC sized correctly for the load.
Indoor 2 · Bulk Air ↔ soil thermal coupling
Pearson r over lights-on hourly mean
r = 0.86 tight Air ↔ soil-temp r = 0.86. HVAC drives the substrate — recipe changes land on root-zone fast. Setpoint moves matter more than slab mass.
Indoor 2 · Bulk EC stacking trajectory
slope of hourly pore_ec over the 14d window
-0.01 mS/day · 8.6 → 7.36 stable Pore_EC essentially flat (-0.01 mS/day, 8.6→7.36). Recipe steady; substrate at equilibrium with feed.
Indoor 3 · Bulk VPD ceiling stress
hrs/d lights-on above phase upper VPD
1.29h/d · target ≤ 1.2 kPa at edge 1.29h/d of lights-on VPD above 1.2 kPa. Watch shot-cadence drift — if drybacks shallow further, the room is past its evaporative ceiling.
Indoor 3 · Bulk Negative DIF
days where lights-on mean < lights-off mean
0/14 days · mean Δ 2.85°C positive DIF stays positive 14/14 days (mean 2.85°C). Photosynthate moves the right direction.
Indoor 3 · Bulk Diurnal swing > 4.4°C
days where max − min air temp > 8°F
14/14 days · mean swing 6.86°C HVAC undersized Diurnal swing exceeds 4.4°C on 14/14 days (mean 6.86°C). HVAC plant can't hold setpoint — plant resets transpiration each day. Steering targets reset with it.
Indoor 3 · Bulk Air ↔ soil thermal coupling
Pearson r over lights-on hourly mean
r = 0.96 tight Air ↔ soil-temp r = 0.96. HVAC drives the substrate — recipe changes land on root-zone fast. Setpoint moves matter more than slab mass.
Indoor 3 · Bulk EC stacking trajectory
slope of hourly pore_ec over the 14d window
+0.02 mS/day · 8.32 → 7.02 stable Pore_EC essentially flat (+0.02 mS/day, 8.32→7.02). Recipe steady; substrate at equilibrium with feed.
Indoor 4 · Stack VPD ceiling stress
hrs/d lights-on above phase upper VPD

Indoor 4 · Stack Negative DIF
days where lights-on mean < lights-off mean
9/14 days · mean Δ -0.08°C split DIF flips negative on 9/14 days (mean -0.08°C). Either HVAC overcooling lights-on or undercooling lights-off — pick a side.
Indoor 4 · Stack Diurnal swing > 4.4°C
days where max − min air temp > 8°F
0/13 days · mean swing 2.28°C tight Daily swing stays ≤4.4°C (0/13 days exceeded, mean 2.28°C). HVAC sized correctly for the load.
Indoor 4 · Stack Air ↔ soil thermal coupling
Pearson r over lights-on hourly mean
r = 0.55 loose Air ↔ soil-temp r = 0.55. Slab buffers the HVAC swings — climate-driven steering signals reach the root zone with lag.
Indoor 4 · Stack EC stacking trajectory
slope of hourly pore_ec over the 14d window
+0.06 mS/day · 6.15 → 6.07 stable Pore_EC essentially flat (+0.06 mS/day, 6.15→6.07). Recipe steady; substrate at equilibrium with feed.
Indoor 5 · Stack VPD ceiling stress

Indoor 5 · Stack Negative DIF
days where lights-on mean < lights-off mean
14/14 days · mean Δ -2.39°C inverted Air is colder lights-on than lights-off on 14/14 days (mean DIF -2.39°C). Reverses the metabolite-drive signal — plant won't push stretch / won't ripen on schedule.
Indoor 5 · Stack Diurnal swing > 4.4°C
days where max − min air temp > 8°F
6/14 days · mean swing 4.86°C edge Swing >4.4°C on 6/14 days (mean 4.86°C). Setpoint mostly holds; days with wide swings line up with shallow drybacks.

VWC-Derived Irrigation Proxies · hourlyProxies de Riego Derivados de VWC · horario

Per-room daily medians of the three VWC-derived irrigation signals — overnight relative dryback %, P0 delay (lights-on → first >1% VWC rise), and approximate shot count (hourly rises >1.5%). Computed directly from hourly soil_moist time series — does not substitute for the per-zone irrigation-event endpoint (per-shot volume / duration / total runoff still pending). With no drip/drain plumbing at this facility, these proxies are the cleanest read on whether the recipe is landing.Medianas diarias por sala de los tres proxies de riego derivados de VWC.

Config & Guardrail AuditAuditoría de Configuración y Guardrails

Per-room spa_get_room_config + facility-wide spa_get_target_ranges payloads captured at extraction time. Indoor 1 carries the canonical photoperiod (lights-on 13:00 UTC, 12 h duration → 06:00–18:00 PDT). Substrate config: coco coir, 4 L bag, 2.2 mL/min single emitter in Indoor 1–5; Indoor 6 runs 1.1 mL/min × 2 emitters/plant. Facility-level target ranges are loose (VPD 1.2–1.4 kPa, RH 50–70%, air 18–28 °C) and not phase-aware — the audit applies tighter phase-specific coco bands. AUTOMAIT: not enabled at GreenMed as of 2026-05-19.

OwnerGH2 · 3,758-plant biggest HG · partial climate coverage
Install climate sensors in GH2 zones 74291 (TRG) and 81738 (SBZ) — only zone 71281 (BI) is currently reporting climate (45.0% of expected points).
GH2 entered Bulk on 2026-05-19 (today). The room holds 3,758 plants — the largest HG at GreenMed — and only one of three zones has a climate sensor reporting. The 5/07 audit flagged GH2 as totally blind; one zone has come online since, but Bulk steering needs facility-wide RH/VPD/temp across all zones before this group can be safely steered through 4 more weeks to harvest. CO₂ is also reading 0 across all GH2 zones — no CO₂ sensor deployed.
OwnerGH1 · sensor fleet failure · no active HG
Triage GH1 sensor fleet — substrate sensors reading near-zero VWC (0.79% room avg) and pore_EC stuck at 16+ mS (out-of-range). Climate sensors silent (35 of 480 expected points). No active HG in GH1.
All four sensor channels in GH1 are either silent or reading nonsense. Either the room is intentionally fallow (and sensors will get re-provisioned at next flip) or the entire sensor stack failed since the 5/07 audit. Confirm intent before next planting — running a HG here today would be flying entirely blind.
GrowerIndoor 1 · BSR1 Finish · botrytis exposure (carry-over from 5/07)
Pull RH from 73% (max 81%) down to ≤65% — VPD 0.72 kPa is in vegetative territory during Finish phase. Verify dehumidifier capacity vs current canopy density.
5/07 flagged Indoor 1 humid in Bulk; the group is now 7 days into Finish (harvest 5/26 — 7 days out). RH has held at 73% mean / 81% max across the 14-day window. With dense flower in the final week, mold pressure is the dominant risk. Finish phase target is 50–60% RH / 1.2–1.5 kPa.
OwnerIndoor 6 · CO₂ overdosing (carry-over from 5/07)
Cap CO₂ at 1200 ppm — Indoor 6 averages 1785 ppm with max 2000 (sensor saturated at 2000 ppm). Returns above 1500 ppm are minimal in Stack/Finish; below ~600 µmol PPFD, returns above 1200 ppm are zero.
5/07 audit flagged Indoor 6 dosing CO₂ at ~1900 ppm 24/7 in UN9 Finish (harvested). The new Subgal1 HG (started 5/13, 2 days into Stack) inherited the same recipe — CO₂ is still pegged at 1785 ppm avg, 2000 ppm max. Pure cost with no yield benefit at this PPFD. Consider whether the controller is hard-set or recipe-driven; align dose schedule with photoperiod.
GrowerIndoor 5 · PL3 Stack day 18 · under-fed & shallow dryback (carry-over from 5/07)
Push feed EC up 0.3–0.5 mS and deepen P3 dry-down. Substrate EC is 3.56 mS (target 4.5–6.0); overnight dryback proxy 14.8% (target 25–40%). Zone 71007 specifically running 2.69 mS — well under-fed.
5/07 flagged PL3 (Indoor 5) Stack as vegetative-leaning with 10% dryback and 3.96 EC. 14 days later, EC is 3.56 mS (worse) and the room dryback proxy is 14.8%. The generative cue isn't being delivered — the room is now 18 days into Stack with no recovery. Flip is in 4 days; reaching even partial generative steering before Bulk requires immediate feed-EC and shot-cycle correction.
ProcessFacility-wide · EC stacking discipline
Tighten P3 dry-down in 2 rooms with weak substrate-EC trajectory (Indoor 5, Indoor 6). Daily peak−trough Δ < 1.0 mS means the slab is not concentrating salts between shots.
In coco at 4 L bag with single 2.2 mL/min emitter, weak EC stack signals the P2 maintenance shots are drowning the dry-down. Trim P2 last-shot and lengthen P3 by 30–45 min until the daily EC swing reads ≥ 1.0 mS room-mean.
OwnerIndoor 4 · BLS1 Stack day 9 · zone EC imbalance
Check emitter/feed lines at zone 71005 (Front Door, EC 4.72 mS) vs zone 71006 (Back Wall, EC 6.80 mS). 2-mS room-mean split inside a single HG is mechanical (emitter clog, line pressure, or sensor offset) — confirm with a manual in-substrate EC probe.
Zone 71005 is reading 1.5 mS below the Stack floor; zone 71006 sits at the upper end of the band. Same recipe, same room, same HG — the only way to get a 2-mS spread is unequal water delivery or a sensor offset. Same finding pattern as 5/07 Indoor 4 ee894 critical alert.

Data Quality & CoverageCalidad y Cobertura de Datos

Per-room point counts across the 14-day window (5/05 → 5/19, ~480 expected per metric at 36-min cadence). Climate-sensor coverage gaps are the most actionable; substrate-sensor gaps in GH1 are the new finding since 5/07.
