The Lead — what the 14 days tell us

5-room cultivation audit · POWRHOUSE (facility 3754, Sacramento CA) · 2026-06-09 → 2026-06-23 — REAL 14-day trace, raw ~9-min cadence stitched into 2-day chunks, all five rooms 100% coverage (the pull-time coverage gate passed natively). Prepared for the CCMS × AROYA implementation review (Kevin Crouch, Sergio Picazo). POWRHOUSE is an AUTOMAIT pilot site and AROYA showroom, so this is a tracking audit — it grades against the open commitments from the June long-term review, not as a cold start. All three live harvest groups are in Bulking / Vegetative 2: POWR 1 carries two (Upper 422 + Lower 272 plants, flip 2026-05-08) and POWR 4 carries one (406 plants, flip 2026-05-25). The short version: (1) POWR 4 is the bright spot — the prior CO₂ crash (1431→603 ppm) is resolved, holding ~1587 ppm, VPD has recovered to 0.82 kPa (was 0.67) and substrate EC is stacking +0.53 mS to 5.80 mS — a clean generative bulk. (2) POWR 3's salt problem is being addressed — substrate EC is flushing hard (-3.92 mS net over the window to 4.84 mS) on a deep 35.6 pp dry-down; the overdue leach is now running. Confirm drain EC has followed down at the next pull to close it. (3) POWR 1 holds its bulking pattern with VPD now 0.92 kPa and EC 6.45 mS (top of the bulking band); the only carry-over is the substrate-temp inversion (substrate 74.8°F vs air 74.1°F). (4) POWR 2 has finished its flush and re-stacked to 5.12 mS (net +0.67) — back in the bulking band, plan executed. (5) Veg Room runs an 18/6 day with a shallow 5.1 pp dryback and low 3.82 mS EC — appropriate for veg. Data window: 2026-06-09 → 2026-06-23; coverage 100% per room (Data Quality). Shot counts are derived from VWC step-up signatures (≥2 pp jumps in 1-h bins) — see the footnote. Dryback is in absolute pp (peak VWC − pre-irrigation low) throughout, per AROYA convention.

Prior-Commitment Scorecard

Each open item from the June long-term review, graded against this window's data. GREEN = closed / on track, AMBER = partial, RED = unresolved. Five of six items have closed or are actively resolving this window — POWR 4's CO₂ + VPD recovered, POWR 3's leach is running, POWR 2's flush completed and re-stacked. The one carry-over is POWR 1's substrate-temp inversion.

RoomItemCommitmentGradeWhat the data shows
POWR 3POWR3-ECZone 57895 drain EC 11-12 mS sustained, no flush in 90d — schedule immediate 24h leach (0.5 mS feed).GREEN · Flush underwayPOWR 3 substrate (pore) EC is now actively flushing — window net change -3.92 mS (early-window ~6.8 → late ~2.8 mS), settling to a 4.84 mS mean. The deep 35.6 pp dryback confirms an aggressive dry-down/flush — the leach we flagged is being run. Confirm drain EC has followed the substrate down at the next pull to close fully.

Climate ↔ Irrigation Interplay

Does the day's VPD profile match the day's shot rhythm and EC trajectory? A higher-VPD lights-on period pulls water out faster (higher ET) and needs P2 maintenance pulses to defend field capacity; a calmer day lets you cut P2 and drive a deeper P3 dry-down. Substrate EC is read as the output of steering — stacking in generative phases (good), pulling back in flush.

Per-Room Deep Dive

One card per room. Steering intent (vegetatively vs generatively) is stated before the numbers. Dryback is in absolute percentage points (peak VWC − pre-irrigation low), per AROYA convention. Substrate EC is the result of your steering, not a feed setting. Harvest-group metadata (cultivars, flip/harvest dates, plant count) is shown where a live HG exists.

What the 14-day trace shows: overnight dryback 41.9 pp absolute (peak VWC − pre-irrigation low) above, peak VWC ~72% holding to a field-capacity floor of 72%, substrate (pore) EC 6.45 mS in band (window net change +0.15 mS — held flat), ~3 shots/day, ET rate ~2.2 pp/h lights-on, substrate temp 74.8/72.9°F (on/off), VPD 0.92/1.05 kPa, RH 68.2%, CO₂ 1408 ppm. Note: POWR 1's window-mean dryback reads ~42 pp absolute because the daily peak→trough span is taken across the full day on a two-stack room (Upper + Lower HGs); the true overnight dry-down is shallower — read this as 'deep-swinging', not a literal 42 pp overnight pull.

Irrigation Shot-Cycle — P0 / P1 / P2 / P3

The 4-phase day is how the controller is programmed: P0 activation (lights-on → first shot — let the plant wake and start transpiring), P1 ramp-up (small shots back to field capacity + first runoff), P2 maintenance (pulses holding VWC at field capacity), P3 dry-down (last shot → next morning — the main steering lever). Shots/day, peak VWC, the field-capacity floor and overnight dryback (absolute pp) are derived from VWC step-up signatures (≥2 pp jumps in 1-h bins; no valve telemetry).

Recommendations

Prioritized, plain-language. Owner = facility lead; Grower = day-to-day room operator; Process = AROYA / Addium / CCMS follow-up. Each ties to the data, the phase target and the prior commitment it closes.

Grower POWR 3 — finish the flush, then re-stack for ripening
The substrate EC flush is working (-3.92 mS over the window to 4.84 mS) on a deep 35.6 pp dry-down. Hold low-EC feed until drain EC confirms it has followed the substrate down (target <6 mS), then taper feed back up so ripening can re-stack to 6.0–8.0 mS rather than free-falling.
This was the top RED from the long-term review and it is finally moving. The risk now flips from over-salting to over-flushing — a controlled taper protects yield in the rooms that carried the most last cycle.
Grower POWR 1 — break the substrate-temp inversion
Restore between-shot oxygenation / increase root-zone air movement to break the inversion (substrate 74.8°F ≥ air 74.1°F). VPD has recovered to 0.92 kPa, so the climate side is largely handled; the substrate temperature is the remaining lever.
This is the one prior YELLOW that hasn't moved. Substrate warmer than canopy air is an anaerobic-root risk and dampens the overnight dry-down on a two-stack room carrying ~700 plants.
Grower POWR 4 — protect the clean generative bulk
POWR 4 is the model room this window: CO₂ steady ~1587 ppm, VPD recovered to 0.82 kPa, EC stacking +0.53 mS to 5.80 mS. Hold the recipe; nudge VPD the last bit toward 1.3–1.4 kPa to lock the bulk.
All three prior REDs on this room are closed. The job now is to not break what's working — small VPD tightening only.
Process · CCMS × AROYA Wire drain-EC + runoff into the live dashboard
POWR 3 already exposes drain-flow telemetry (drain EC / runoff %); surface it in the live CCMS dashboard so a leach can be graded directly instead of inferred from substrate EC. This is the natural first integration win for the CCMS × AROYA implementation.
Two rooms were signal-inferred this window because no current HG was assigned. Closing the loop on drain telemetry turns POWR 3's leach into a measured, auto-closeable item and demonstrates the CCMS integration value immediately.
Process Re-pull the HG roster once POWR 2/3 restart
POWR 2 and POWR 3 are between cycles, so their phase labels (bulking, ripening/flush) are read from steering signatures this window. Re-pull the harvest-group roster once they restart so the phases become roster-verified at the next audit.
Keeps the audit grading against the AROYA calendar rather than inference, which matters most for the rooms that drive facility yield.

Data Quality & Limitations

All five rooms were pulled as stitched 2-day chunks of the AROYA public_api /rooms/<id>/chart/ endpoint (raw ~9-min cadence), deduped on timestamp, with the pull-time coverage gate (threshold 0.90) passing natively at 100% per room. Window 2026-06-09 → 2026-06-23; first/last timestamps 2026-06-09T13:00Z → 2026-06-23T12:54Z.

Audit-level limitations
  • POWR 2 & POWR 3 phases are SIGNAL-INFERRED — both rooms have no CURRENT harvest group this window, so their phase labels (bulking, ripening/flush) are read from steering signatures (EC trajectory, dryback depth in pp, photoperiod), not the AROYA calendar. POWR 1 + POWR 4 are roster-verified (Bulking/Vegetative 2).
  • Shot counts are DERIVED, not measured — a "shot" is a VWC step-up of ≥2 pp between consecutive 1-h bins. No valve-event or flow-meter telemetry is exposed. Counts are reliable for rhythm/consistency; absolute shot volumes (% of substrate) are not graded.
  • POWR 1's window-mean dryback (~42 pp absolute) is span-inflated — it is taken as daily VWC peak − daily VWC trough across the full day on a two-stack room (Upper + Lower HGs), which conflates intraday swing with the true overnight peak→pre-first-shot pull. Read it as "deep-swinging", not a literal 42 pp overnight dryback. The other rooms are less affected.
  • Photoperiod inference is coarse — lights-on hours are inferred from the hour-of-day air-temp ramp; POWR 1–4 read ~12/12, Veg Room ~18/6. Good enough for DIF; not exact.
  • Overnight dryback (absolute pp) = daily peak VWC − the following pre-irrigation low on the zone-mean series. Per AROYA convention, never expressed relative to field capacity.
