The read

The mesh is healthy where it’s placed, and dead where it isn’t. All five 100%-coverage rooms (both greenhouses’ HG rooms, 600 R1/R2, GH#1) ran the full 14 days without a gap, and the two Jims Veggies rooms came online cleanly mid-window (06-08 and 06-10 — fresh installs, not faults). The problem is concentrated: 1Z and ‘10 section 2z’ went completely dark around 06-10 after only ~6 days of reporting — 17 devices (nodes + TEROS One heads + the wing’s repeater H3400002795) all at once. Seventeen simultaneous battery deaths is not a thing; an entire wing dropping together is an upstream mesh-path failure — start at the sink/gateway serving that wing (PoE — check the drop and switch port) and the wing’s H340 repeater H3400002795 (battery-powered, like the nodes — check its battery, not a PoE port). Note gateway H2110001144 (Greenhouse #3) also shows no data in the window while its room’s sensors report fine through other paths — verify which sink it’s backhauling through. Separately, 16 devices sit unplaced in inventory including a full gateway + 2 sinks + 6 repeaters: placing one repeater in the 1Z/2z wing would likely harden it permanently. The 1Z probes also read near in-air VWC (~10%) while they were online — re-seat them in active media when the wing comes back.

Recommendations

  1. Walk the 1Z / 10 section 2z wing. Confirm the sink/gateway path serving it (PoE — check the drop/switch port) and the wing’s H340 repeater’s battery (battery-powered — not a PoE check). 17 devices went silent together ~06-10; that is a single upstream failure, not device faults.
  2. Deploy from the unplaced pool. 6 spare repeaters + 1 gateway + 2 sinks are unassigned; one repeater placed mid-wing gives 1Z/2z a redundant path. Place or RMA the unplaced node + TEROS One head.
  3. Verify gateway H2110001144 (Greenhouse #3) — no readings attributed in-window despite its room reporting at 100%; likely backhauling through another sink, worth confirming so the site isn’t one-gateway-fragile.
  4. Re-seat the 1Z substrate heads when the wing returns — they read close to in-air (~10% VWC) even while online.
